About me
Diversity of the style is reflected directly from the background of me, a Japanese graphic/web designer/illustrator/creator. Lived and worked in London. Currently lives and works in Salvador/Bahia/Brazil. A member of Kilombo Tenondé a solidarity permaculture farm. Teaches Capoeira Angola to children.
My work
I have been working as a freelance graphic/web designer since 1995 as well as working as a part-time graphic/web designer mainly in creative industries in London.
My strength in print and editorial design has led me to be a designer for some major contemporary art and architecture magazines as well as for some artists and architects.
I am fully able to oversee the graphic/web design production – from basic art direction, presenting various concepts to final artwork, including getting estimates and handling instructions from/to the printers. Confident building websites using CMS such as WordPress and OpenCart for e-commerce sites.
From years of experiences in working in this industry, I have found that the prompt and active communication skill is a vital tool for me to be able to develop ideas and also working in a team together with the clients.
Being Japanese, I have very precise eye for detail and have delicate and unique approach towards executing the initial ideas into the final products.
My interests in Brazilian cultures and extended travels in Brazil have made my visual language unique often combining the Japanese minimalist look with a twist of colourful and bold graphics.
